We all come up against times of difficulty. Whether these times are brought on by a crisis, a loss, unresolved issues from the past or some other source, having someone, to discuss these issues with, can be quite valuable. In many circumstances a family member, friend, mentor or maybe a minister can be very helpful. However, there are circumstances when a professional counselor may be the best choice. There are a number of reasons one might choose a professional. There may be a desire for more confidentiality. At times there is a need, to seek, a more objective perspective. In some situations, issues are serious enough that a professionals education, experience, and ability to coordinate and implement an appropriate treatment plan is needed.
Individual work can be quite helpful for some of the following issues.
ADHD related concerns
Mental Health Concerns
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
This is just a beginning list. There is any number of issues that have brought clients into a therapists office. If you have issues that are causing you great distress or don't seem to be improving with time, please consider seeking professional help.
